...in order to appreciate that this may be his finest live recording, and one of his best recordings, ever. Unlike some of the Las Vegas live recordings which are chock-full of misogynistic and childish banter, this recording is almost all music, with a minimum of chat (thankfully) and a maximum of jazzy but subtle orchestrations. He is introduced by Charles Aznevour. If you intend to own only one Sinatra disc, this might as well be the one.

From the introduction by Charles Aznavous to the final track (26)of "come fly with me", we are treated to a clasic Sinatra concert.
This album has Sinatra singing his famous songs without the anoying chat that sometimes
makes live concerts a bore. This is Frank at his best.

Reconmendation. Buy the Paris concert now!

I bought this CD in December 2005, and didn't get around to playing until today.
This is probaly the best live performance of Sinatra available, he is in fine form, the sextet could have done with a bit more support, an additional one or two musicians would have helped.
However, if you love Frank, then this is for you, every track is a gem, his voice in fine fettle, and he is clearly at one with himself.
Go on, buy it!!!
