I like this new book and would never miss one of Zoe's anyway, although i admit it is a little thin on the ground and feels slightly rushed. I think the main problem is that the book is probably aimed at parents as much as sugarcrafters. The designs are pretty and clean as ever but some are fairly simple and as a professional, i would have liked to see more novel design ideas, maybe a really nice big castle, cakes with more figures, perhaps a carved animal and so on. Zoe's eye and technique is always a joy to see and she is generous with her know-how and i always trust her construction and decoration methods. There are plenty of cute ideas: make up bag cake that puts Waitrose's to shame, camouflage baked sponge, circus tent, giant cupcake, surf board, marvel comic masks. I really enjoyed most of the designs and just hope her next book has a little more humf.

A nicely photographed and clearly laid out book with some lovely looking cakes in it. For me, the cakes seem mainly suitable for vey young children, which is a shame. I love that there isn't a TV character in sight, I just wish there were a few more cakes in the book for the 3-10 year old range.

Very poor quality print and pictures, some of which have parts missing and blurred. This book is far below her usual standard.

If you have Zoe's books already this one isn't worth the price. I was excited about this product but going through it realised recipes are the same, techniques are standard. I agree with the other reviewers. But if it is the first of her books, you will enjoy it.
