Persaud explains the truths about love deftly and amusingly. Forget the accusations about plagiarism; it's irrelevant to what needs be known. He uses perspectives of scientific psychology, meaning he uses the results of experiments and tests that have repeatedly shown congruent results or have confirmed empirical evidence. The only thing "theoretical" is evolutionary psychology, but even the concept of evolution cannot be adequately replaced by any other inferences.

Although written by a man, it is equally pertinent from a woman's perspective. This is perhaps partly because of Persaud's balanced "female/male psyche", and partly because the topic gives perspectives based on scientific-psychological research results which take both gender perspectives into account. Differing perspectives are acknowledged where they occur.
The questionnaires complement (as in "complete") those found on the eHarmony website. eHarmony's Personality Profile questionnaire results can be got for free, and they are profoundly accurate, giving descriptions of one's personality characteristics that are relevant to all relationships, including relationships with colleagues of either gender.
