Persaud explains the truths about love deftly and amusingly. Forget the accusations about plagiarism; it's irrelevant to what needs be known. He uses perspectives of scientific psychology, meaning he uses the results of experiments and tests that have repeatedly shown congruent results or have confirmed empirical evidence. The only thing "theoretical" is evolutionary psychology, but even the concept of evolution cannot be adequately replaced by any other inferences.
Chapter (Ch.) topics & Questionnaires (Qrs) are as follows:
- Introduction: Understanding the basic rules of attraction. Questionnaire (Qr) at the end of the chapter measures one's degree of commitment.
- Ch.1: Understanding the basic rules of attraction. Qr measures one's view on how attractive we appear to the complementary ("opposite") sex.
- Ch.2: How the science of psychology can help relationships. Qr measures how companionate vs passionate we are.
- Ch.3: Dating with confidence. Qr tests for confidence in flirting & dating.
- Ch.4: How to flirt. Qr assesses one's ability to charm.
- Ch.5: Taking a risk, taking a chance. (No Qr)

Dr Raj may recently have hit the headlines for paying one literary 'homage' too many, but never mind the fact that his medical license has been suspended for three months! This book still contains extremely relevant advice for those who are seeking to obtain a soul mate. Beginning with the process of capturing your ideal partner, Dr Raj also goes on to offer some useful tips on how to secure them for the long haul. If Persaud's approach lacks in old-fashioned romanticism, it more than makes up for that in terms of effectiveness. Admittedly, he does not offer a great deal of information that couldn't be picked up from a number of other self-help books, but what else would you expect from the old magpie! The important thing is that once you're armed with this advice, no woman will be able to escape your clutches. From fitting out a cellar with soundproofing, to the purchase of a reliable tranquilizer gun, Dr Raj will guide you through each and every stage of the process.

Good information, presented in a scientific manner. Not your usual self-help book. Provides you the information, and allows you to decide how you want to use it, rather than preaching at you. A good read.

Becoming more attractive to the opposite sex.
This book really qualifies a lot of things in the dating world--i.e. that in order to find the "perfect" mate, you must become irristible to them. Read more
