Formatting books with Word was not an option for me. Simply put, Word was not made for formatting eBooks. So HTML is the way for those who want their book to leave their hands in perfect condition. This book is an excellent guide. Well structured, knowledgeable, clearly written, keeping to straight and narrow. It has made it possible for me to navigate through a labyrinth of formatting advice and practice. I'm looking forward to the Volume II. Lin Sherman knows how to explain and teach which is vital for someone who is writing a book of this nature. Following the instructions I managed to produce excellent fiction books with images in it. When I needed little help towards the end, Lin wrote back to me guiding me to the very end post. Thank you Lin! For all of you who want to do your own HTML formatting this book is absolutely recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Lot More Than Just HTML 18 Aug. 2013

This book doesn't even get up to HTML until several chapters in. You'll get lots of good Kindle formatting tips even if you choose not to go this route. I'd recommend this book as an affordable alternative to some of the pricier books out there. And hey, you'll be getting the same info, if not better.
