Product Description
Murray is a male fairy godmother, and he is trying to help 8-year-old Anabel to fulfil her "simple wish" - that her father Oliver, who is a cab driver, would win the leading role in a Broadway musical. Unfortunately, Murray's magic wand is broken and the fairies convention is threatened by evil witches Claudia and Boots.

When eight-year-old Annabel wishes for a fairy godmother, she never dreamed she would get a visit from a male variant called Murray who's just learning his trade. She soon realises that her fairy godmother is short on experience and long on excuses. As they are whisked into a whirlwind of magical mishaps, Annabel and the blundering Murray have until midnight to rescue her dad, battle a wicked witch and recover stolen magic wands to restore the world to a place where wishes can come true.
According to my eight-year-old daughter, "I liked this film because it was adventurous and full of magic. I like it when a girl of my age has a fantasy experience because it feels as if it could be happening to me. I shared in Annabel's wish for her father to be successful and to achieve what he is dreaming of."
My daughter's best friend, also eight years old, added "I think this film is brilliant because it's full of magic and adventure, and that's the kind of film I always like. It was a bit long and some parts could have been taken out and made for a better film, but I still enjoyed it a lot. It's funny most of the time, but there are some sad parts too. It has a happy ending though."
Kathleen Turner stands out, as might be expected, as the wicked witch. U certificate, suitable for all ages. Languages: English/French/German/Italian/Spanish. Subtitles in English/French/Italian/Spanish/German/Arabic/Danish/Finnish/Greek/Hebrew/Norwegian/Portuguese/Russian/Swedish and Turkish.

Simple Wish is a film that for some reason, my two boys aged 10 and 8 watch over and over again. They have many films (as most kids these days) but always watch this when it comes to choosing. It has humour, adventure, and an original story line, they are forever quoting from this film - it's hilarious!

A Simple Wish is very enjoyable I love watching it. I'm a big Martin Short fan and he played Murray the wizard fantastically and Mara Wilson has a great role too.
This film has to be a 10/10.
