Simple Sense – four steps to healthy, happy skin
Healthy skin is crucial for providing the right canvas for applying make-up, to enhance natural beauty and create natural healthy looking skin. Having a good daily skincare routine can dramatically improve the look and feel of our skin. Just a few steps each day will take tired, dull, unhealthy skin to bright, fresh and happy in no time.
Step 1: Deep Cleanse
The Deep Cleanse is the first of the skincare steps and is where the magic begins. Each day our skin encounters lots of dirt and impurities, be it through dirt, pollution, even make-up. The Deep Cleanse step is designed to gently but effectively get rid of all the dirt and impurities that have collected on your skin. After the Deep Cleanse step, your skin feels fresh and clean and deep down, it really is clean, with dirt and impurities removed.
Step 2: Polish
The Polish is a crucial step in giving you brighter and smoother skin. This step helps to gently buff away dead skin cells, which sometimes don’t budge on their own and can make skin look dull and dry. It is also ideal to do before applying make-up. It helps to even out your skin, meaning that make-up like your foundation goes on more evenly and smoothly. The ideal products to use to Polish your skin are exfoliators and toners.
Step 3: Protect
Each day, our skin is exposed to the sun and to the environment, which can cause dryness, irritation and even premature aging. But help is at hand; your skincare routine can help combat this. The Protect step is all about how to help boost the barrier of your skin, your skin’s natural function to protect itself from sun exposure, moisture loss and irritants.
Step 4: Treat
Our skin is different, so it makes sense that your skincare routine should be too. We all have our own skin concerns which we want to concentrate on – be it your eyes, lips, spots, blemishes, or even wrinkles. Listen to your skin and find the right products for your needs, to incorporate into your routine.

This is very gentle since this doesn't contain perfumes or aggressive chemicals.
This does what it says and for the price you get a pretty amount of product.
I'm really pleased with it and the price is great.
I will consider to buy it again.
This cleansing lotion is supposed to be used by squeezing some onto a cotton pad and rubbing it gently over your face. I haven't tried using this as a standard cleanser with water, but I don't think it would work as well with water. It's best to just stick to the recommended method with this. I first tried using it with a piece of cotton wool pleat, as I didn't have any cotton pads, and it didn't work well at all. The cotton wool fell apart, so it's really best to invest in some cotton wool pads. You can find a big pack of these in Poundland, and they'll last you a long time.
The consistency of the lotion is very thick, and a little goes a long way. It does come out in one big blob, so I like to fold the cotton pad to evenly distribute the lotion, before putting it on my face. Before I did this, the lotion would end up in one big blob on my face, so I found that folding the pad made it easier to get even coverage over my face.
It's recommended that you use this product twice a day; once in the morning, and once in the evening. I do usually remember to use it twice a day, but sometimes I just use it before bed. If you only want to use it once, and make the product last longer, it's up to you, but if you have particularly oily skin, as I do, then it's best to use it twice a day.
It's recommended that you use the Simple Toner after using the lotion, and I try to do this every time I use it. However, there have been times when I haven't used the toner afterwards, either down to laziness, or just forgetfulness. While I've found that the results are better with the toner too, the lotion does do a good job of cleaning by itself. It's also very soothing if you have dry or chapped skin, so it's great in the winter.Read more ›
Good value when buying at £1.50 or less, if price goes up then it'll be better to buy from shops rather than online
