5.0 out of 5 stars Simple yet effective 4 Oct 2009
At the beginning of the book you have 3 pages of the materials and equipment you will need and this is enhanced with coloured photos. In addition, there are another 3 pages showing you the techniques of how to do certain things, such as, attaching a clasp, attaching a bail, opening and closing a jump ring and my favourite, making a fuxico, I have no idea how you say that word, but whatever it is, I have learned how to make something new. There are some excellent coloured photographs throughout the book showing step by step pictures of how to link the buttons together. There is also a section on using buttons on other items we wear, such as belts, hair clasps, hair bobbles, and little extras such as a key ring holder. This book has some really good ideas that are workable and I think would inspire you to come up with your own ideas. It is easy to understand and follow and any beginner or veteran might enjoy. I have found the book the be a great help and inspiration so yes I would recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buttons galore! 8 May 2008
By TheLibrarian TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
There are a lot of books on button jewellery out there, but this is one of my favourites. The designs are very simple, stylish and modern. The instructions are easy to follow and the photographs are large and clear. Some of the button jewellery books on the market use a lot of highly unusual buttons that would be very hard to find. This book uses ordinary buttons and you could easily substitute different types of buttons in most of the designs.

This is a great book for learning how to make button jewellery. The photos make it simple to follow and the results are just as illustrated. Would recommend it to anyone just starting out in jewellery making and interested in trying other ways to make it more interesting.

I think Dinah is mistaken. The projects in this book are perfect for
unique, vintage buttons. Great ideas!

1.0 out of 5 stars Simple Button Jewellery 9 Nov 2007

I was disappointed in this book. I was looking for ideas and designs for using antique/vintage buttons. The finding list needed for making these pieces would not work or look right with antique/vintage buttons.
