Product Description

Book Description

A great new look for the highly popular Simone series.

Product Description

Simone has just started secondary school and has agreed to help a student teacher with his research by filling in questionnaires and keeping a diary about all her experiences. In true Simone style she sometimes finds herself writing not only about school but also about her interesting, and very funny, life outside school too. Ideal for fans of Jacqueline Wilson 'I warmed to Simone and her realistic approach to life - she's Adrian Mole without the angst.' School Librarian

A well tuned ear 29 Sep 2001
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
Helena Pielichaty's writing is an accurate reflection of contemporary vocabulary and dialogue, hidden insight and personal perceptions. We learn much about the characters by what, and how they speak - rather than tedious description. It is rich in subtle humour which combines well with a sensitive approach to the way children feel about parental breakup and new situations.

Expect her to become one of the leading writers of this generation.

I thought the book was very funny and I really liked the added bits such as timetables and copies of personal planners. I have just started High School and the way it is written is as if Helena is a natural pupil just starting Y7 herself because of the detail she uses and she knows everything about Y7 pupils.
