International best-selling author, Simon Cox, has become the go-to man for all things 'Dan Brown' and 'Robert Langdon'. Described by the BBC's James Naughtie as, 'A Historian of the Obscure', Cox started out as a researcher and contributor for such best-selling authors as, Graham Hancock, Robert Bauval, David Rohl, Andrew Collins, Clive Prince, and Lynn Picknett, before becoming an established published author on his own, with 'Cracking The Da Vinci Code', which went on to become a world wide best selling authoritative look at the Dan Brown novel. This was closely followed by 'Illuminating Angels & Demons', his second definitive guide to the world inhabited by Brown's hero, Robert Langdon. 'The Dan Brown Companion' followed, being the first of several books published by the Scottish based Mainstream Publishing, part of the Random House group. Four more books quickly appeared, under the banner of 'The Simon Cox A to Z Series', each one co-authored by Cox and fellow writers within the ancient mysteries and alternate history genre. The series aimed to be an easy to read and digest reference guide and introduction to several subjects within the genre, Egypt; Atlantis; King Arthur & The Holy Grail; The Occult. More books in this series are planned. In 2009, with the long anticipated release of the new Dan Brown novel, The Lost Symbol, Cox released his latest facts behind the fiction guide, 'Decoding The Lost Symbol', which has gone on to become an international best-seller in its own right. Cox's books have been translated into over 25 languages, including Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Finnish, Indonesian and many others.
Simon Cox lives in Bedford, United Kingdom where he has recently set up a new digital publishing and production company, Henu Publications.
