Silverlit’s brilliant X-Twin Mini Biplane has become a firm favourite with modellers, for indoor flying sessions in sports halls around the country. This classic biplane may be easily operated outdoors without previous experience, and makes an excellent first remote control model, with its slow flying characteristics. The attractive Mini Biplane gift box includes a fully assembled aeroplane supplied ready-to-fly, complete with a pre-installed 2-channel digital proportional radio control system, and an informative flight manual. Suitable for both beginners and enthusiasts, steer the model using differential thrust by simply moving the transmitter joy stick left or right, whilst operating the throttle to climb or descend. Easy to fly outdoors in calm conditions, and made of lightweight flexible foam to withstand the occasional heavy landing. The Mini Biplane incorporates a powerful lithium polymer battery and will fly for up to ten minutes, whilst recharging direct from the transmitter in less than half an hour. The X-Twin aeroplanes are available on 27MHz bands A, B or C, to allow up to three different Silverlit models to be flown together. Not only that, they are also very popular for serious indoor enthusiasts who fancy a challenge.Less than half the weight of a first class letter, made of virtually unbreakable expanded Polypropylene foam and capable of 10 minute flights or more between charges. Up to three of these amazing little aeroplanes may be flown together, for mock 'dogfights' in the sky!...Supplied completely ready-to-fly, the X-Twin Mini Planes may be flown indoors in a sports hall, or outside in calm conditions using the pre-installed two function FM digital proportional radio control, with two powerful wing mounted micro motors providing steering by differential thrust.The transmitter incorporates conventional joy stick control with adjustable motor trim, and includes a useful integral field charger to allow you to recharge the supplied Lithium Polymer flight battery in less than half an hour. The attractive gift box includes an informative flight manual, two spare propellers and all you need to take off within minutes of opening the box, excluding 6 x AA Alkaline batteries. Ive had this aeroplane since late 2007 and would highly recommend it as a first time flier for kids and adults alike.
The good: You can expect flight time 12-20 minutes from a 20-30 minute charge, very durable Ive crashed many times weakest point being the tail but any damage can be easily repaired with sellotape. Normal flight height its about 1.5 - 3 meters but with a light headwind I got high enough to get out or radio range about 15 meters ( holding the control above my head 2.5m). Has a trim function on the control for straight flight.
The bad: Indoor or very light wind ONLY. On my model even with the trim couldnt quite get straight flight at all speeds. Tail heavy flight can lead to diving and rising like a sine wave, correct by throttling out or doing a sweaping turn. The direction control system wont allow high accuracy (works best by tapping rather than holding).
Just flown it now got 15 minutes flight, 3 years on and it still makes me grin, fantastic fun at a bargain!!
Take looking at the Silverlit X-Twin Speedy Plus when available as a faster larger alternative, buy in store to avoid high delivery cost.

This was about the only plane that I brought my son that actually flew! Its not great outside when its slightly windy, but on a calm day it doesnt fly too bad and its easy to control and doesnt smash into pieces when it crashes!

We have had great fun flying this Biplane, excellent value for money, I wouldnt hesitate in reccommending this to anyone. Great purchase.
