Boasting an extremely effective penetrating diamond head that makes easy work of splitting wood, the spherical striking face ensures a centred and effective blow, splitting the wood in four directions. The sharp point enables easy insertion into the wood and is notched to prevent pop out.
Splits the toughest wood
Some timbers can be difficult to split depending on the species of wood. Elm, for example, tends to be very knotty and can cause problems when it comes to splitting. Also, wood that has been laying around for a while tends to be tough to split, so it’s always worth splitting timber as soon as possible after it’s been felled. Silverline's Log Bomb will make easy work of all species of wood and is designed to split logs effectively and safely.
When splitting logs, it’s important to use a good quality sledge hammer or splitting maul. It is also important to leave sufficient distance between yourself and the splitting block to allow a comfortable swing. Ensure you split logs in an area that is devoid of obstructions, and ensure there are no other people or animals nearby as split timber can travel qulte a distance.

I was surprised how heavy the "bomb" was,but how effective it is in use.A couple of good whacks and the log is split.Very good value for money,highly recommended.

Not sure what the difference is between this and the wood grenade but this is an effective tool. Ok the wood doesn't split into 4 but it has easily coped with all logs I have put in front of it. Recommended.

these look to all intents and purposes the same as a wood grenade..whether they are of a slighty different design I'm not sure because i haven't had the opportubity to compare them, but they seem to work same be about the same size and weight and are a few pounds cheaper. they just don't arrive in a cardboard box or have any branding labels attached
