5.0 out of 5 stars silverline 24v combi 22 July 2011
By Kevin
Does as it says, good to work with, does the job in hand no problems & the batteries last ages, comes in a solid hard case with steel catches not PLASTIC flip up ones (which break easily), the light is gr8 for dark areas, I've had other rechargeable drills & this one beats them all hands down. Silverline Silverstorm® 125763 24V Combi Hammer Drill.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value drill 7 Oct 2009
I wish I had replaced my previous cordless drill earlier. This was great value for money. The batteries charge very quickly, comes with a stirdy case and various size bits. A useful indicator on the back tells you roughly how much battery is left. Also magnetic area at front which is useful for placing screws etc. Overall very pleased with this.

5.0 out of 5 stars With three years experience ... 15 Feb 2012
By Bent
With three years experience in dry wall and framing (sounds like that guy from a Jeff Dunhamm show) I must say I absolutely love this machine. Easily on the same level as Bosch or DeWalt, I kind of think those two brands are a little over the top for dry walling. The RPMs are somewhat lower than other brands, but the staying power and torque are top notch. Best thing yet, it weighs less than half of a DeWalt

5.0 out of 5 stars 24v Combi Hammer Drill 5 Feb 2012
By Fun Man
As a novice DIY user getting a drill that is going to do most things around the house was all I was after.

Opened the box read the instructions and drilled three holes into the wall, nice. So when my tradesman friend came round to do the complex bits he did nothing except drool and use this drill like a child playing with a new toy. You can imagine the problem I had prising the drill off him when he was finished!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Total rubbish bit of kit 20 May 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase
Read previous reviews thought it would be ok for the money, fully charged it up and started to drill, it was very poorly to say the least it started smoking after about 1 minute, I could stop the chuck in my hand, smelt aweful. Sent it back just awaiting a refund.
For a 24 v drill it was pathetic. Or perhaps I could be harsh as it may have been a Friday afternoon drill !?
Anyway I await my refund, not the bargin I thought it was, hey ho we live and learn

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent little battery drill 8 Jan 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase
I have had a Silverline battery drill in the past and it served me well around the house,( Sadly the batteries wore out) this new one does what it says, plenty of power, battery lasts a long time, even tells you how must power remains. It’s light, yet strong and has done everything I have needed to do with ease so far.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this battery drill for use round the house.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good as a screwdriver......But not much else !!! 12 Nov 2012

Truly awful Terrible drill.

Drilled a 7mm hole in 2mm aluminium and the drill just stopped dead,no torque in this drill whatsoever.Tried drilling a 12mm hole in 0.5mm thin steel - same thing again stopped dead then smoke started to appear from trigger about half a second later, any type of load on this drill and the battery just gives up and waves a white flag. This is a shockingly bad drill to say its 24volts(I have used many in my electrical job) .Shame really because it does otherwise feel quite well built.Would never ever buy one of this make again.
