This product turned up and on first sight looked fine, however, on closer inspection i noticed all the locking teeth were worn and rounded! it looks like the item has been used heavily before me!!! from now on, im getting grips from the local electrical wholesaler as these are just no good for anyone!

To be fair, at this price, I wasn't expecting Rolls Royce quality
and I wasn't disappointed - because they aren't
However, I decided to pay so little as I don't expect to use them very often at all
If I do have to, and they aren't up to it, I will buy more expensive ones
If like me you might need this type of tool now and then, they might be ok.

Such a joy to use after having dodgy pound shop ones that slip. Ignore the stupid negative reviews from angry plumbers who should be paying 40 quid for some high quality grips anyway as they earn enough!.

The design and colouring of these pliers makes them look very similar to those from Rothenberger or Knippex, but like several previous reviewers I found that looks are only skin deep. Mine lasted ok for the first couple of jobs, but as soon as some serious strain was put through them the pin slipped and they collapsed in something of a heap. For £4 they're serviceable if you're only planning a couple of light jobs, but if you need something strong and made to last best look elsewhere.

I have these slimline pliers in a small toolbox for occasional needs in the house.
They are suitable for many small DIY tasks.

well made tool this, will last for years, but the name (waterpump pliers) kinda suggests that is this tool,s only purpose,nae....you can get into pipes in corners under the sink, easy peasy where you have trouble with spanners mole grips and the like.Easily ajusts for bigger sized couplings, nuts, ect and the long slim handgrips give great leverage. Can even use them to tighten the wheel nuts on the kids bikes. For around a fiver......these pliers are a gem!!!

Overall there ok, I decided to give the cheaper silverline a go after my decent bahco ones 'went missing' and a few lads said they were ok, they grip fine and did the job. I used them for a few weeks nothing major, general use but they have now rusted pretty badly and become useless I kind of expected more from 'water pump pliers' especially as they suffered very minimal exposure to water ! Hence the 3 stars.
