No doubt as my drain pain fades in my memory my affection for the Blast Wastepipe Unblocker will too but having just quickly, easily and successfully unblocked my bath drain my enthusiasm for this tool is beyond what I would have thought possible. I previously tried unblocking with a range of chemicals to no effect (one of those horrible toxic products they sell in supermarkets, vinegar, soda crystals etc...). The only thing to watch with the Blast Wastepipe Unblocker is that you seal the overflow outlet effectively. I taped mine up with regular sellotape as that's all I had but on my first attempt the air pressurised dislodged the tape and I got sprayed with gross drain gunk but my second more thorough taping did the job.

I would like to reinforce what the other reviewers have already stated clearly. This simple tool succeeded in unclogging both my kitchen sink and my bathtub one. I had previously tried a number of biological/chemical solvents with no luck. An old fashioned plunger (that happened to be more expensive than this Silverline) turned out to be rather ineffective as well.
It took me a while to understand how to properly utilise the tool: the instructions, printer on the object itself, are rather terse and I think that by simply sticking to them you won't use the un-blocker to is full potential. The following worked best for me: -seal the tap overflow-prevention device(s) with a piece of tape or equivalent: you don't want the pressurised air provided by the silverline un-blocker to flow out through it. -open the tap until you have approx 1 inch of water in the sink (if the sink is clogged the water should not flow immediately, which is ok) -position the tool's suction pad in the water and pull the handle to fill its chamber (just like when filling a syringe) -create an air-tight seal between the sink's drain hole and the suction pad and press the handle as quickly as you can -repeat the above process several times. That's it, worked for me :) Definitely a good buy, and it saved me a call to the plumber.
