The Silverline Folding Shovel is constructed from a good quality 1.5mm thick steel and folds neatly for ideal storage in a vehicle boot for emergencies or to help cope with bad weather conditions, shed or garage, this can be used as a shovel, pick or trenching shovel with its ability of the movable locking handle and head. Ideal for digging, levelling ground, removing rubble post hole digging or scraping with its serrated edge, when folded it is only 235mm long, unfolded 580mm long. The shovel is easy to use with its simple twist and tighten system making it quick and easy to assemble for use or to fold away for storage, just loosen the collar lock move into the required position and then tighten the collar to lock into place, just reverse the procedure to fold and store in the vinyl storage pouch that comes with this shovel, that is fitted with integral black loops that can be attached to any belt or backpack, making it perfect for outdoor events..

Foldable shovel exactly what my son asked me to look for. I never thought that I would find one let alone it being easy to assemble and so strong for use. Definitely everybody should have one to hand. So easy to carry about in the carrying bag and fold up. I (A woman!!!) did it all by myself, what a good idea.

I haven't used this yet...hope I don't have to! Looks to be excellent quality for the price and is quickly and easily folded into a very compact pouch for storage. Has a serrated edge along one side which would be useful and a good size hand grip to fit a large man's hand. The shaft is a good girth for gripping with the other hand to get stuck in and the whole thing is sturdy when assembled. Of course the shaft is short like all other folding shovels but if you want something that is literally compact enough to fit a good size glove box you can't go wrong.

Arrived on time and at first glance appears solidly made. No instructions were included as to how to prepare the shovel for use but it hardly takes a degree in rocket science to work it out. As with other folding shovels, the shovel is relatively small and the handle short but at least it should fit within the spare wheel in my car. With four wheel drive, winter tyres and snow chains I hope that I will never need to use the shovel but at least I know that I have a back up in case everything else fails. Appears good value for money.
