Silverline 794340 Flexi Drive Shaftunfortunately does not fit dremel which should be stated. i have managed to adapt it by cutting away the thread inside the flexi drive so you get a loose fit over the dremel thread, them used ptfe tape on the dremel thread, put areldite rapid over the tape and then fitted the flexi drive onto the dremel. when dried unscrew the flexi from the dremel and remove the tape. you should then have a thread inside the flexi drive that fits on the dremel. mine works well.

The Silverline Flexible Drive Shaft works faultlessly with the Parkside (Lidl) Cordless Multi-sander Type PAMS96-5407506

To fit the Silverline Flexible Drive to the Parkside Cordless Multi-Sander:-

1. Remove the circular knurled nut from the chuck of the Silverline Flexible Drive Shaft and remove the collet fitted (This is a collet with a 3.1mm diameter hole )
2. Unscrew the black plastic thread protector from the end of the sander and set aside.
3. Remove the Parkside chromed circular knurled nut from the chuck of the Parkside and put the collet from the Silverline into the Parkside chuck and replace the knurled nut leaving it loose.
4. Pull the wire with the square end out of the Silverline enough to clear the front of the large chromed nut. It will slide out fairly easily although it may be easier if you gently use pliers.
5. Slide the squared wire fully into the end of the Parkside chuck and tighten it to lock onto the 4 corners of the squared wire.
6. Whilst pushing the wire back into its original position in the outer sheath twist the chuck at the far end, so that the wire's squared end enters the chuck.
7. Screw the Parkside sander into the Silverline large knurled nut (This is easier than trying to twist the nut itself which is fixed to the outer sheath of the Drive shaft)
8. The chuck at the end of the shaft will accept all 5 collets supplied with the Parkside Cordless Multi-Sander pack

For completeness and information to others with other Dremel clones:-

Silverline Drive Shaft Dimensions:-

Measurement across corners of the squared drive wire - 3.1mm
Internal diameter of large chrome outer cover fixing nut - 17.5mm
Pitch of this nut's thread 2.

It needs a square nut connection to work with your rotary hobby tool, strangely the silverline hobby tool Silverline 249765 135 Watt Hobby Tool doesn't come with one and neither does this pack... so now trying to contact silverline about getting something that will work, oh and dont bother trying the dremel square nut if you have the silverline rotary tool, it doesn't work... Seems odd that two things from the same manufacturer don't work together... Not impressed.

this item does not fit the dremel and should say so instead of stating "compatible with MOST rotary tools"contacting seller only resulted in a reply stating that they do not do dremel!i thought dremel was one of the most popular rotary tools and if it does not fit it why state(most).

Bought this for my Silverline rotary multitool bought at same time on Amazon. Loved the rotary tool and this was a cheap drive. It looks to be fine quality and supposedly works with most rotary tools ... except of course the Silverline one -why would I expect it to work with that? It seems to me like both items are sold without a square drive nut that would need to be fitted on the drill to drive the shaft-maybe a Dremel one will fit?. The flexi shaft screws on OK but does nothing. I guess Silverline are just re-branders importing Chinese stuff from different manufacturers -I can't find any trace of them selling the missing part, and instructions with either item just about go past turning it on and off.. no mention of accessories etc.

It is a bargain with this value and quality. I used it to extract/grind a few seized bearings. And also used for buffing...

I highly recommend this. No problems so far. YOU DON'T NEED THE NUT OR IN OTHER WORKS IT WORKS FINE WITHOUT THE NUT. Mount it as if you are mounting any other bit. e.g: grind bit..cutter..etc etc

An excellent addition to my Draper 140w Multi-tool. It is totally compatible and works well with it. It has a good flexible shaft which makes it easy to control. Just a shame that you have to use the tool provided to lock the shaft while changing tools. A push button, like the Draper, would have made it 5 stars.

I bought this drive to go with a Draper mini drill (similar to a Dremel). I've used it on quite a few projects without any problems
