I bought these to help me when building a cot for my first grandchild and it has been a fantastic product. I normally use a dowel jig i also bought on Amazon, but sometimes the wood is too small to clamp in the jig and this is where these come into their own. You drill your first dowel hole , insert the point, align your timber, just press together and it marks the corresponding dowel hole . For the price it is worthwhile buying two or three sets because you will use them over and over again.

Arrived promptly, product as described. Have now had a chance to use them, and providing you use a brad point drill, they give good results. With judicious use of scissors when opening the pack, you can end up with a useful storage box which will help you not to misplace these small items.... I never did find out what happened to my previous set!

A good tool for working out where to put your dowel holes for an irregular shaped or dimenssioned piece of wood. I should have bought two packs as I could have done with 4 of the 8mm size. My fault for not thinking.
