Overall not bad. I have not used them to work on the car yet, but in trying them on I was pretty impressed.
They are sufficiently thick enough that if your tool slipped and you ended up inadvertently punching something, you shouldn't damage your hand too much.
The missing fingertips on the index, middle and thumb are nice to allow for a bit of dexterity when working with small items like nuts, bolts, wires, etc. My only complaint is that the length of the thumb "finger" is a bit too long in comparison to how long the other tipless "fingers" are. It's certainly not a deal breaker, but if I had the choice, I'd have made the thumb a bit shorter, but that's my own personal preference.
I ordered the medium sized gloves and they are verging on the tight side. My hands are just under 20cm from wrist to the tip of the middle finger, and between 8 and 9cm wide at the knuckles if that helps anyone.
