The Silverline long-handled lawn shears feature 254 mm rust-resistant solid steel blades along with long 800 mm steel handles, which make them perfect to use from a standing position. The cutting blades are perfectly angled for grass cutting so that you can easily and efficiently trim areas of lawn that can’t be accessed by a lawn mower or have been missed by the mower. Silverline long-handled lawn shears are therefore particularly useful for trimming areas that are, for example, close to trees, thus protecting tree trunks from damage; close to fencing and decking; and adjacent to flowerbeds, paths and buildings.
The Silverline long-handled lawn shears have foam grips on the handles, which help to both ensure the shears are comfortable to use for prolonged periods of time and reduce strain on the hands. In addition, the generous handle length helps you to keep your lawn tidy with little or no strain to your back. The blades are easy to keep sharp using a sharpening stone, such as the Silverline cigar sharpening stone, or other blade sharpeners.
Silverline long-handled lawn shears are part of an extensive range of high-quality gardening tools from Silverline that are designed to meet all of your gardening needs. This range includes forks and spades for border work and digging, along with rakes, hoes, hand forks, trowels and a traditional dibber. The Silverline range also includes secateurs and pruning shears, tools for propagation such as a grafting knife and layering knife, as well as border shears and bypass loppers.

I purchased these shears to cut around the edge of the lawn. Unlike others they lay flat to the grass so you can use them more easily. No more painful back ache, they are a perfect length and very sharp. A bargain for the price and service received.

poor handles
work well but after using once the thin foam on the handles is already splitting. Penny pinching in production spoils an otherwise good product.

These were cheap, and they feel cheap. They do the job, but they're very heavy and they jar a bit. Also, the caps on the top of the handles keep popping off, which allows the foam... Read more

Would highly recommend
Great product, the handles are the right length to prevent backstrain, and the shears are razor sharp. My lawn looks very good and I've no need to buy a lawnmower.
