I bought this set rather than another similar one as it had more sizes....this set is ok if you have reasonable access to your damaged nut.....my particular nut was difficult to access and I had to lay underneath my van holding the remover in place. As the nut was facing down every time I let go it fell off...I tried hammering it on which just held it in place but as soon as it contacted the socket it fell off again....the problem is that the remover itself is a nut...if it was a socket with a 3/8 or 1/2 drive I would have been able to keep the pressure on and it probably would have worked....so only buy this set if you are able to use a ring spanner and apply pressure with the other hand!

I got this tool to do a specific job on my car there was just one bolt that had been Damaged from someone using the wrong size socket on it and rounded it off, so got this set to do the job and remove the bolt, the very first time I put the right size tool on to remove the bolt it just rounded the spiral teeth off of the inside of the tool.... so all I can say is that the tool did not do what it said on the tin...... Not Made of Hardened steel at all to get the job done.

Avoid this product. They are of poor quality and virtually useless - they kept slipping and rounded the bolt completely.

I already own the Irwin bolt removers and bought these to replace one of them that'd been damaged.
The Irwin set uses a 1/2 inch drive that just locks on like a regular socket, these rely on a spanner or socket over the remover so if its a tight space your working in (which mine was) forget it.
Grip was poor as well and didnt stick a chance of removing seized manifold bolts, again the Irwin set had cracked 6 bolts before it got too damaged.

In a nutshell I wasnt impressed by this set and should have spent the extra on the Irwin expansion set.

This set would be OK, but on using it for the first time, the only size I needed was the #5 head (for extracting 13mm bolts) was not there. Instead, there are two #3 heads. How utterly infuriating. Worse, I can't seem to get in touch with the company to correct the error [Silverline - if you read this, would you please contact me to help].

I bought this tool as it had several sizes to offer and my aim was to remove a damaged bolts in a tight space. When using the tool you need a spanner or a socket over/outside this tool. In my case it didnt get the grip on the bolt tight enough and every try fitting the spanner over the tool was nocked it over. For limited space this tool is useless because of the design (the top inside is totally round and you need a BIG spanner over/outside this tool). It is also very hard to get the grip with the tool on the bolt as if the space dont allow the spanner to be used to fit the tool, only to turn when fitted.
Summery:
Poor design for limited space and no good for my bolt.

I have always tried to remove rusted/rounded bolts/nuts using older methods; hammer and chisel, hacksaw (if possible), mole grips and others. Of course they have worked in a fashion, but I have to confess that I also had a few visits to the hospital for deep cuts, grit in eyes etc. I was dubious at first as to whether the Silverline bolt removers would work: my first bolt was from a Mitsubishi Evolution 6. It was an exhaust cover bolt that had been rounded, obviously the wrong spanner/socket had been used at some point, thus rounding it off pretty severely. Using the bolt remover I placed it onto the damaged bolt head and applied a little downward pressure, it started to grab the bolt head instantly! As I turned it I could feel the bolt head beginning to move, it felt as though it was about to slip - but my fears were laid to rest as the bolt started to turn and was removed quite easily. I would give these tools more stars if I could as they have already saved me lots of time and not to mention no damage to my knuckles or bits flying into my eyes from debris flying off the hammer!! A first-class product that I would definitely recommend to anyone who works with nuts/bolts.

The concept sounds good, but I have still to find a nut or bolt to use this set on.
To get purchase you have to use a socket over the top, but all standard sockets are too deep.
With spanner no purchase. I once got one to grip a bolt it basically just peeled it. Ended up grinding it off.
Had to insert small socket inside larger socket before putting in bolt remover.
