Fast delivery. Product is alright I suppose but could be better made. The product didn't come with any sponge in the box but I bought a 10 pack separately, so not a probleem for me. Of course, when the sponge gets wet it fails to stick to the metal plate and it does need cutting down in size to fit snuggly. What do you expect for the money? I guess the most disappointing feature is that because of the weight of my corded welding iron (Weller SP80) makes the inner tubing rest on the coiled spring and so the whole holder gets hot very quickly... but at least it stops my iron from touching the table. In hindsight, I would gladly pay a little extra for a more sturdy holder. I wouldn't leave this (nriefly) unattended, let's put it that way!

A decent soldering iron stand is a good piece of kit however if is often an expense you may not bother with, I've precariously balanced my iron on all sorts will doing electronics work and it has nearly ended in tears a few times.

Does what it says on the tin it holds your soldering iron securely and safely.

All in all, it's cheap and does the job!

Arrived quickly and does what I wanted at a good price. The sponge is a bit thin but ok. The diameter of the inner part of the stand is around 1/2 in, so may be a big big for smaller soldering irons.

# Cheap
# Sub-standard
# Falls apart

Was a little disappointed really, it's pretty flimsy, the inner tube of metal that's supposed-to hold the 'Iron in-place is not only made of cheap malleable metal a Spider could bend, but also it has a habit of going out-of-place, and has even fell out a few times.

..also, the 'Iron often gets caught on a ridge, but that's partly down to the 'Iron I guess.

Most of the time, it's just too much of a ball-ache to use, so I find myself irresponsibly leaving a hot 'Iron out just begging to be snagged and cause potential painful injury.

Basic, cheap and cheerful, but perfectly adequate for the job. You get what you pay for.

I little wobbly, but much better than having the soldering iron fall off a prop and burning things.

It can easily be disassembled for packing away.

I thought this was good value for money but it isn't - should know better - it is a light tinny stand with no weight so the iron falls off the workbench and burns me the flooring etc - the centre guard tube is not fastened to the top plastic mouth and keeps falling out again exposing the hot bit - a soldering iron stand needs weight in the base - this isn't a soldering iron stand - its a cheap not fit for purpose copy of a real one!!!!

It does the job. You have to attach the springs using the included bolt and wing nut. Dampen the miniscule sponge and you now have somewhere safe to secure your soldering iron.
