The Silverline 16 amp to 13 amp fly lead converter is a handy tool to take with you when camping and caravanning, and using with on-site generators. The converter allows you to use your favourite work or household items--from drill to site light to hair dryer to reading lamp--when the only electrical outlet available to you is a 16 amp socket. With this product in hand, there is no need to re-wire or fit a different plug to the electrical item you want to use--the Silverline fly lead converter bridges the gap between a 13 amp plug and a 16 amp socket.
The Silverline 16 amp to 13 amp fly lead converter has a 250 mm cable with a 13 amp socket fitted to one end and 16 amp plug fitted to the other. It is rated for use with appliances that require up to 240 volts. To use any electrical item of up to 240 volts that is fitted with a standard 13 amp United Kingdom plug, insert the 13 amp plug into the 13 amp socket on this fly lead converter. Then, insert the 16 amp plug into the 16 amp socket, for example on a petrol generator or site hook-up, and switch on the power source. Power will be supplied at the correct rating for an electrical item fitted with a 13 amp plug.
