Format: Audio CD
The first thing that hits you is that this is a beautifully produced album - lots of room, space and clarity of sound. There is very much a feel that this is live and alive. The vocals come over really well - Jacquelyn has a lot of passion and humanity in her voice and I could listen to J Eoin forever!! Super flute playing, again that passion is there, and great to have the unique voices of the different flutes (silver & wood) and different makes. There is so much of Jacquelyn’s uniqueness here but we must not forget the other contributors who weave their spell through different pieces. So difficult to pick out a favourite to highlight because of the wonderful variation of the individual pieces which make the whole. Traditional meets contemporary – so difficult to do but carried out here so adeptly. This is a really intelligent album which works on so many different levels. Just such a wonderful CD and worth the wait. Jacquelyn really needs to be up there and recognised alongside the best.
