SILKY THE FOUNDING by Daniella
If you want a wildlife book read this great story Jenny Oldfield book.
The characters are Hannah and Helen, the twins, there is dad, mum and Sally the vet. The ones I like the best are the twins. There weren't any characters I disliked because they all had the right amount of speech and involvement in the story.
The story takes place in a farm next to a wood. In the wood the family of rabbits are standing around when they notice a wild dog looking for food and a fight. When the girls came to check they saw Speckle, the dog, lying down injured. The girls ran up to Speckle to see what had happend to him. While the wild dog turned around and walked away.
I liked the way the author used her speech and words like 'squelching the mud out of her hand'.
There are loads of books following on from this book. I would recommend this book because it is interesting and to all ages from seven upwards
