4.0 out of 5 stars Good,Tight cd, 25 Jun 2005
The west london sound continues on this quite superb set of songs and grooves. Silhouette Brown is the name of the latest project from Kaidi Tatham(Bugz in the attic) and Dego(4 hero). Its a showcase for the spacey, ethereal vocals of Deborah Jordan who sounds a little like Janet Jackson on some tracks.
But rest assured these tracks are much better than Janet's!
I love Kaidi's production work both on this and his other projects. He is Broken beat's Patrick Adams as far as I am concerned with his moog solos and/or fender rhodes playing.
Make no mistake"Spread that",track 5,is 21st century boogie music for soulboys who have moved on.
Track 1"Whose in charge" is very summery and is much played on my player.
This is a worthwhile purchase-go buy..

5.0 out of 5 stars your opinion but....., 25 Aug 2005
By A Customer
this album is wicked! i read the other reviews and don't understand the negative comments made in the last from nova scotia. it's a lush album which isn't trying to be dkd or another form of those artists - it's its own thing which is soulful, jazzy, broken and a real grower. if you appreciate good quality music you'll appreciate this!

3.0 out of 5 stars A bit average...
This might be a bit uncharitable, and I know Gilles has tipped this as one of his big albums for the year... I know, I know. But I'm just not feeling it too much. Read more
