Difficult second album?,

Out of all the vinyl gathering dust on my record shelves from the 80s I have often found myself listening to 'No Sense of Sin'. I was surprised to see, after coming up to 2 decades later, a new offering from them. They have managed to pick up where they left off and make an album full of lush melodies and haunting vocals. I'm not sure what took them so long, but as with any reappearance from the past, I'm happy as it makes me feel younger! Who needs Botox when you can close your eyes and return to a time when this kind of melodic pop was chiming out of every radio.

The first opus from The Lotus Eaters, "No sense of sin", was my favourite pop album in the eigthies. And nearly twenty years after its releasing, I am still listenning to it. And now, surprise, this new releasing. And you now what? I'm feeling young again. Hearing these new songs is like entering in a time machine : it procures you the same emotion than the first time you were listening to "The first picture of you". Beautiful, emotional, fresh... Just buy it! You will fall in love with The Lotus Eaters, and with the voice of Peter Coyle.A french fan

well no sense of sin was something in its day with the new romantics and the haircuts.Apart from a couple of singles lotus eaters vanished. The new album is not bad (if you remember them 1st time around)and it is most definatly their sound. What is good is that often when bands resurface they do all the old stuff yet here we have all new material.New romantics post 2000.....wow
