It's difficult to describe in words the sheer brilliance of this solo piano concert at the 1974 Montreux Jazz Festival but I'll do my best with this poem dedicated to Cecil Taylor:-

Lightnin' and thunder

Along the keyboard

Zips and unzips

Elemental forces

Through cracks cascading

An endless flux

Of magic pulses

Dance above the trembling earth.
