Paul Henke has always enthralled readers with books full of passion and adventure. In Silent Tears, the third book in the Tears Series, his readers will be captivated as three generations of the Griffiths family struggle to meet the challenges of their time.

From the depths of the depression and the rise of fascism to the abdication of Edward VIII and the Spanish Civil War, Henke’s meticulous research brings the period and vibrant characters to life.

David, powerful and dynamic, at the centre of political intrigue, his love for the family is put to the ultimate test……Meg, stalwart and determined, guides the family with humour and devotion….And Susan, beautiful and tempestuous, fighting for justice. No sacrifice is too great for those she loves.

(The Tears Series)

It is great when you read a good book and have really enjoyed it to know there are others to continue the saga. The main story takes place in the first part of the 20th century and carries on through the 2 world wars. Sometimes a little far fetched but a great story to loose yourself in. I'm an avid reader of all types of books and found this very absorbing.

This is the third in the 'Tears' series of four. An absolutely brilliant read but would seriously recommend reading 'A Million Tears' and 'A Million Tears II - The Tears of War and Peace' first. Unfortunately, this book 'Silent Tears' is now out of print and extremely hard to find anywhere. If you can find a copy - get it.

Silent TearsI could not put this book down, it is utterly gripping, combining fact and fiction. Paul Henke is one of the finest authors of today. The story of a close-knit family during the pre war years, each member a different tale to tell, enlightening the reader of the part of history of England which is mostly ignored or unknown due to the superb research of the author. Once you have read this book you will be impelled to read the whole series.
