It is very difficult for me to believe that THE SILENT ROAD by Wellesley Tudor Pole (1884-1968) has not yet been reviewed on Amazon, and that used copies of the books - no doubt becoming rare - are very expensive, while new copies of the books are selling for exorbitant prices, in the hundreds of dollars. This is one of the greatest books of the twentieth century, and I would even go so far as to write: one of the greatest books of all time. It's a stretch to place this book in the categories of "Psychology and Counseling," while this is not irrelevant, as insights in psychology are liberally offered by the author. However, this book primarily consists of chapters that contain Tudor Pole's extraordinary memoirs of his thoroughly genuine and truthful psychic or "supernatural" experiences. To offer one outstanding example: a sub-section of Chapter Three ("Further Unusual Incidents") titled 'Transit Most Mysterious.' Other chapters are titled: "An Account of Three Supernatural Experiences," "Memory, Time and Prevision," "The Mystery of Dreams," "Seven Facets of the Mind," "An Exercise in the Use of the Imagination," and "Light Out of Darkness." Interested readers will come across a copy of THE SILENT ROAD online on a Ba'hai site, but this copy is extremely poor and hours will be required to unravel this document, which does great injustice both to the author and to this classic work. I suppose the Ba'hai online library cannot be faulted for this, as they have been asking for someone to volunteer to unravel this copy for years now. It will take hours and hours. As a reviewer I will do some research to see whether this book is more readily available through THE CHALICE WELL TRUST, Glastonbury, England, an organization that was founded by Wellesley Tudor Pole. Copies of the book might be able to be put together economically and made available on Amazon.
