5.0 out of 5 stars Every human adopted by a cat should read this!, 9 April 1999
By A Customer
This book is the translation (from 'cat' language into English) of a manual written for kittens to help them to succesfully adopt a human, and the human's home. The first lesson that a human will learn from this book is that we don't own cats, they own us! So you really should not refer to your cat, because you belong to the cat.

The manual provides the human with an insight into the seemingly crazy things that cats do, which really are quite sensible if you are a cat! For instance, when you have several pieces of paper spread out on the floor, and you are concentrating on one piece that is not the piece closest to you, why does 'your' cat sit on that piece? Well, the manual teaches the cat to become the centre of your attention, and this is one way to do that.

This is one of the best books I've ever read, and I keep reading it again as 'my' cats grow older and do even weirder things, which are easily explained in this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Invaluable Help for Persons owned by Cats, 14 April 2003
By A Customer
Wonderful reading for any human being who has ever been owned by a cat!
You will look at your cat in a new (and wiser) light as you realise how you (who thought you could never be fooled) fell hook, line and sinker for a set of simple feline tricks. What REALLY hurts is realising that you were such an easy mark that your cat didn't even have to exercise his or her full reportoire. After reading this, you will understand your cat much better - your cat will still win, but at least you'll understand HOW you were beaten. Of course, all of us "cat people" don't mind this, because we know that cats are a superior species.
Seriously, this is another fine book from the man who, if he doesn't truly know how a cat thinks, certainly thinks he does - but that's probably because his cat lets him!
