As a former student of Freedman I eagerly acquired a copy of this book. Freedman, true to form is plodding and analytical desperately trying to remain impartial this, however works well with the pro malvinas sland provided by Gamba Stonehouse. All in all a good read particularly from the oftem missed diplomatic and political perspective of the conflict. Looking forward to Freedman's official history of the war being written now.
