TOMMY HUNT needs no introduction to Northern Soul fans: the vocalist was already a star before being adopted by the scene in the 1970s. Hunt made his name in Chicago with doo wop act The Flamingos before relocating to New York in 1960 to enjoy a successful solo career. By 1969, he was based in the UK. In 1975, Tommy was signed to Spark to record tracks aimed at the burgeoning Northern Soul scene. Crackin Up reached No. 39, followed in 1976 by Loving On The Losing Side (No. 28) and One Fine Morning (No. 44). The package is designed by noted Northern Soul reissue expert Glenn Gunton (Joe Boy, Outta Sight, etc.).
