The EM-140 is designed to work with both AF 35mm film and Digital SLR cameras of all-popular manufactures.
The EM-140 is ideal for photographing subjects in fine detail when the shadowless mode is used and is extremely effective for scientific and medical applications.
Dual flash tubes can fire simultaneously or separately. Using only one flashtube creates shadow, which can give a three-dimensional feeling to the subject. The flash features a guide number of 14 w/ISO 100.
The Modeling Flash function makes it possible to check for reflections and shadows before actually taking the flash picture.
A wireless flash function is also available, when the EM-140 DG is used as master and the EF-500 DG SUPER as a slave unit for creating fine shadow details.
High Speed Synchro and Exposure compensation functions are also available for advanced flash photography.
Ideal for Close-up photography, especially medical and scientific applications.
Fully dedicated with the latest TTL auto exposure systems.
Flash tubes can be switched on or off for creative flash control

The sigma Em 140 is a great ringflash giving even lighting and a fantastic ability to change the strength in each flash tube so you can add dramatic lighting to your shots. It is a well made flash and comes in a neat bag that has plenty of space to put other acessories in. Down points I havn't found any yet.

I cant review the flash today as sigma supply 55mm and 62mm adopter,the adopter size for my sigma is 58mm,they inform you in the box that they have change the adopter sizes,but that is no use to my as i have to buy a adopter to fit to my lens.You cannot buy one from any camera shops as no one stocks them,you can buy them from amazon but you have wait for them to arrive,plus the cost of the adopter and the postage.But when you have spent just under £300 pounds it a lot to ask to spend £14 Pounds more just to get the flash working on your lens.Sigma should inform you of the adopter sizes in box it is not very good for a company of there size.As sigma is very generous with its extras the adopter they supply are for there new range of macros lens.They should inform you of the sizes in the box so you can buy the extra adopter at the time of purchase and allow for the extra cost.As always amazons delivery for next day is first rate i given 5 stars as the flash it self looks fantastic and is about £200 pounds cheaper than the canons one i just cant wait for the adopter to arrive so i can use it.I will leave a review when it is up and running.Up date 31/1/2012 after receiving the adopter ring,the ring flash works like a dream,all i can say is for the money the quality of the flash is 1st rate it works well in auto and manual as long as you get the wright size adopter you cant go wrong.Buy it and enjoy it as you are limited to any lighting condition's.

SIGMA EM-140 RING FLASH FOR CANON CAMERA.
Ordered this item from Amazon, delivery was great as per usual from Amazon, packing was very secure,the unit looks great and quality of build is good.
Sorry to say thats as far as I can comment on the unit as when I opened the manufactuers box I was faced with a green sheet of paper telling me that they had changed the boxed kit from a 55 and 58 mm ring adaptor to a 55 and 62, and should I need a 58mm then I should buy one on its own . I think the advertiseing description should have been changed rather than insert a sheet of paper, now Im high and dry as I have a piece of kit that I would love to be useing but have to waite and hope Amazons speedy delivery is maintained

Great ring flash
An excellent ring flash for macro photography. Works well with a Canon SLR camera. Easy to connect. Will fit on to a macro-lens. Great service from Amazon and at a good price too.
