I would think so - I have a 60D and bought one of these lenses- the only spec was that it was a Canon fit and fit it did. Brilliant lens - use it a lot. regards - Richard. PS - If you are still in doubt then ask the 'seller' before you commit to buying.

Will it work on a 5d? 20 Feb 2014
No. The 5D is a full frame SLR. This is designed for the Canon EF-S mount and APS sized sensor. You would get the same wide angle shots using a Canon EF 17-4mm or 16-35 but the price is much higher. As far as I know, all Canon DSLR cameras have the same size attachment for lenses and therefore this Sigma lens will be fine for your camera. It will also be fine for your wedding group of forty people.

Bit difficult to answer ..... when I bought my lens, it was specifically for a Canon. Sigma list the comparabilities and I would therefore suggest he contacts sigma direct. Best of luck - Richard. This is the UK contact for Sigma who should be able to assist = www.cliftoncameras.co.uk/‎
