Probably the best book I have bought in the past few years. This also help me to understand more about Western notations. If you have some knowledge on Eastern Notations such as Do, Re, Me ...this is probably the best guide for you! I recommended to anyone!

Excellent book and CD. It is laid out well with clear explanations.

The American accents are a bit annoying after a while however, but then Amazon keeps sending me Kindle books by British authors which also contain American spellings and phraseology. As the orders come from Luxembourg, which is nearer to the UK than the USA, I don't know why this should happen. I'm not anti American in any way, but I would expect a book or CD to contain local speech and local spellings, as I am sure Americans would if it were the other way around.

I learn to read music when I was a child (50+ years ago) and this course has brought it all back. However, I am sure a complete beginner would also benefit from it.

As a singer and teacher, a lot of the exercises seemed very basic but I would recommend it for an absolute beginner. Wont be helping me with my teaching I am sorry to say, which was the main reason for buying it :(
