This is the third SIGG water bottle I have bought after accidentally landing on the bottle I usually take climbing and causing a massive dent. I filled the bottle with water and froze it to try to get the dent out, but unfortunately I slightly over did it on the amount of water and the bottle exploded in the freezer :P
If you have never bought a SIGG water bottle before you might be worried about the water being tainted with a weird taste. I have never experienced such a problem even after leaving the water for a couple of days. In this regard I don't think I would treat this bottle any differently to a plastic bottle.
The bottles are light-weight and seal well, however being made out of aluminium they are susceptible to dents and bumps. Given the activities I take these bottles out on I see these dents as something of a keep-sake which add character to the bottle, but I can see why some people would be put off by it. In terms of the longevity of the paint on this particular bottle I cannot really advise, but other painted SIGG bottles I have seen begin to peel only after many years of sustained use.
This particular SIGG bottle is a very nice looking one. The colour is what I would describe as ceramic white but with a glossy finish, and overall it looks great :)
