I bought this machine a couple of days ago on amazon as a Christmas present for my wife. We tried it out right away - very easy to install and good instructions.
Basically you just fill in water and coffee beans and press the coffee button. I am not much of a coffee drinker but everybody else who tried it confirms that the coffee is delicious. Machine seems quality-built (should be expected for that price). I read on the web that Siemens has them built by Jura (excellent Swiss brand from what I heard).
One of the features I like very much is that it is basically cleaning itself when switched on and off so you really only need to empty the rubbish tray and exchange water once a day.
And with this we now come to the very few flaws:
1) Although the daily cleaning is quite easy (5 mins) it could have been even easier if the rubbish tray space at the bottom inside of the machine that you are also supposed to clean would be accessible more easily.
2) For a machine at that price I would have expected something fancier than a silver plastic front panel - metal would have given it a more solid quality look and feel.
3) Making cappuccino with the built-in Cappuccino Control is supposedly easier than with the cheaper machines but it still needs some practice to produce good milk froth - I expected more the press-one-button approach that the rest of the machine uses.
But overall a great buy - at a big price!

Machine demo in shop convinced us this was the one, even over a machine double the price! Wish we had got that one now.
We bought this machine 20 December and it failed on 23rd. No luck with a repair or replacement, had to have a service call on 31st. Despite being told service engineer would repair it, they just called to take it away for repair, no effort to repair made, not even swithced on to see if there was a fault!
Seller refused to exchange just told us to contact manufacturer, difficult as there were no instructions with the machine.
We did not expect such poor service for such a large price!

One of the easiest gadgets to use - just plug in, put water in and its off - it even cleans itself. Coffee is excellent and it even has a timer so its ready when you want. Execellent!!
