I bought this a few months ago after considering buying the cheaper non automatic espresso machines. I'm so glad I decided to pay extra for an automatic machine. It makes great tasting coffee at the touch of a button and no messing around with having to grind the coffee yourself.
I mainly use it to make espresso, it does have a milk frother for cappuchino & latte, works fine but does take some practise.
Only reason I've given it 4/5 is that the unit is quite noisey. Although this is the first coffee machine I have ever bought so nothing to compare it against other than the one at work which is whisper quiet but then it did cost over £2000!.

This machine makes great coffee but once a fortnight you have to run the service programme. This is how it goes:
When the S symbol comes on:
Start with 0.5 litres of water in the tank.
Switch the coffee maker to standby
Hold down the coffee dispensing button for 3 seconds
(the appliance rinses twice)
The `empty me' sign lights up.
Empty and reinsert the trays.
The coffee scoop lights up.
Place hald a cleaning tab in the coffee duct.
The tap lights up and the coffee button flashes
Empty water tank & fill with lukewarm water and descaling agent to 0.5 litres.
Press the coffee cup button
The unit descales for 10 minutes into water tray
The steam button flashes
Place a jug under the nozzle
Open the steam dial
The descaling liquid runs into the jug (5 mins)
The empty me button lights up again
Empty and reinsert the water TRAY
The tap light lights up and the cup flashes
Empty and clean the water tank.
Fill up to max with clean water and reinsert
Place jug under nozzle again
Press the cup button
Water flows through the machine
The steam button lights up
Turn the steam dial to O
The clieaning process begins (10 minutes)
Liquid flows into tray and then into coffee outlet.
The empty me light shines again
Empty, clean and re-insert the trays.
The appliance is ready for use.
No kidding!
If you're happy to do that, then I would wholeheartedly recommend it! The coffee tastes very good.
Alterntatively, you can drive to Starbucks, buy a coffee, and still be back in time for the machine to finish cleaning itself :-(

Bought this machine over a month ago. We use it every day to make 2-4 cups of coffee. No problems so far. Easy to use, great tasting coffee. We make lattes and they do taste like they do in a coffee shop.
It is a noisy machine but it's not too bad. My one year old who is easily scared, does not mind it.
Well worth the money.

Great coffee - but not a very loveable machine
No two ways about it, this makes great bean to cup coffee - possibly the best of any machine I have tried. And it has wonderful pressure - you can froth/steam in no time at all. Read more
