With programmable one-touch Quickdial keys you've got faster access to functions and phone numbers, WAP or the integrated games.

Alarm, date and real-time clock are standard. Beside these essentials there is so much more to use and to add maximum comfort and fun: with EMS (Enhanced Messaging Service) you can simply add pictures or sounds to your extra long SMS. With Calling Faces you add a face to your display and see in a flash who's calling you. You can also store up to 50 additional numbers in your phone.

Equipped with a WAP 1.2.1 browser the A50 lets you access the online world. So surf the mobile Internet or add some personal touches with ringtones, screensavers and bitmaps to download.

Style the A50 to your taste with a multitude of fashionable exchangeable CLIPit Covers in smart and trendy colours. The CLIPit Covers Graphic add some extra touches with their special designs. Other Siemens Original Accessories like a wide range of chargers, carrying cases and car solutions match your individual needs and express your personal style.

Siemans A50
I'm happy with:
1.Excellent super saver delivery: arrived 48 hours after my credit card payment went through
2.A cool phone at a cool price
3.I'm after just the basics, that is, SMS and "ET phone home" when needed, and I'm not after insurance. With this phone it won't break the bank if something happens, just my heart.
4.Compared with the Siemans A35 which I've used for 2 years, the A50 is magic:
· Compact, light phone with an integrated antennae
· Looooonger life battery
· Better covers, and better keypad
· Pleasing looks
· Easy to use (if you're willing to read through the manual and get properly acquainted)
· Nice to have additions: trembler, interesting games, SMS (bitmap) picture messaging, handy alarm, auto switch off, highly functional screen saver graphic, Christian/Buddhist calendar, aircraft mode, babysitter function, intelligent text entry, WAP "Surf and fun"....

Look out for:

1. O2 literature greets you with the words, "Dive into your free calltime", erm, things have changed, there is no free call time, granted, it was only £1. If you send your personal details you get a couple of extra quid down the line, but they then immediately text you with a number to call (free) if you don't want to be hounded by sales people, naughty text messages, lewd proposals etc. I liked that!
2. Apparently if you top up with the top-up card (included) you get a few quid back.
3. IMPORTANT (for those who don't read the included literature): Once you've topped up, don't make ANY phone calls/SMS's until you've decided what package you want. By default you'll start off with the more expensive "Talkalot" package, if you want the cheaper (for my purposes at least) "Original" option then text "Original" to 21300. If you don't you'll only be able to go over to "Original" after 30 days (see booklet No 3).

Neat & Sexy 20 Nov 2003
Format:Electronics
The Siemen A50 is a very neat and sexy looking phone and for the price a real bargin. It has nearly all the features that them more expensive Nokias in it's class have but for a fraction of the cost.
My only problem was the clip on facias, I purchased 2 from one of the mobile phone shops in town and went i put them on they made the display look lop sided, so I would suggest that people try and purchase original Siemen facias.
I have had 40 phones in the last 8 years and I would have to put this phone, for value alone up there with the best, obviously there are better more expensive phones on the market but if you're looking for a cheap entry level mobile for yourself or even the kids you won't go far wrong with this

Great little phone 7 Nov 2003
By A Customer
Format:Electronics
In contrast to one of the reviews above, I find the battery life excellent - I only have to charge it once a week! It is small and fairly light so can fit easily into your pocket. I like the pre-installes ringtones and you can download more. A good all rounder for a great price.
