It s quite simple, Eddie & the Hot Rods are a loud, fast and exciting rock 'n' roll band, far more interested in playing songs that will set your pulse racing feet moving and hands clapping. Our message is quite simply: get up, have a good time and remember ...Do Anything You Wanna Do! Eddie & the Hot Rods

Whether they were in the studio together jamming for their latest release or belting out their pure unadulterated punk rock to thousands of people on one of their many worldwide tours, Eddie & The Hot Rods have amassed a loyal following over the past four decades and have come to epitomise true British pub rock.

2 Sides takes the best of both worlds, blending together ten live tracks from the Hot Rods world tours with ten studio tracks taken from a selection of recent albums. This previously unreleased compilation CD contains the Hot Rods unique and live cover versions of such classics as The Who's The Kids Are Alright, Them's Gloria and Sam The Sham & The Pharoahs' Wooly Bully, as well as their greatest hits, including Do Anything You Wanna Do, Quit This Town and Teenage Depression.

Formed in Essex, London in 1975 by Barrie Masters et al, the band helped usher in punk rock in the UK and was known for its wild energy on stage.

Eddie and the Hot Rods are a great British institution. Massively overlooked and seriously under-rated, they're still playing live, with a line-up that has been together for ten years, led from the front by original member and true rock star, Barrie Masters.
Trust me, these guys can play. Adding a harder, tighter, more rock-oriented sound to their pub/punk roots, they are as good as any band playing live today in the UK.
The nub of it is this - two inter-weaving guitars, swapping classy solos, riffs and chords, backed by solid bass and truly massive drums (this guy plays the drums violently, yet brilliantly). With Barrie, in better voice than ever, singing some rather catchy tunes on top (and some useful backing vocals too).
This album is well worth £10 of anyone's money. Twenty fast, loud and tight tracks: Ten live - mainly old favourites - and ten from recent studio albums. Don't hesitate - you'll love it!
