nowhere as good as the first cd. 3 Feb 2004
By DESTRO ATTACKS - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
after seeing these guys perform at nyc's continental club, i was anxious to listen to their next release, but SICK did not exceed my expectations. the music/songs are much somber and mellow than the first and where's the keyboards rob??? the snytherzier sound was on of DTD'S strongest assets next to traynor's vocals.

sick (the song itself ) was cool and just when you think the rest of the songs would have momentum,(like supadupamachoman; a justified attack on today's narcist, chauvanist, egocentric young males ) it starts to slow down
with tunes like bluesky lie and shame.(but HIGH was pretty good.) if your'e expecting killer songs from the first cd like stay away, submission, dead inside,mr.doe..you will be sorely disapointed just as i was.
it's sad to see a NU-METAL band go the way of the over ballardesque OLEANDER.but at least it's not as whiny as NICKLEBACK or STAID. i doubt after this, they'll cut another album.especially since traynor is forming a new band called SKYND. IT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED.."ashes to ashes, dust to dust"

Incredible 10 Jun 2003
By Stevox - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This album is the best second release from a band I have ever heard. It lived up to my expectations and more. Rob Traynor is a lyricist and a musical genius. He does just about everything on this cd, including vocals, synth, bass, some guitarwork, programming, writing, mixing, and just about everything else you could think of. He has another guy play drums and there is alot of guitarwork from Ken Hickey (type o negative), but Traynor can do everything. There are a few pulverizers akin to their softmore release (Rot, Think about It), but Traynor has decided to go in a more melodic direction without sacrificing any metallic fury. This isn't nu-metal, but it isn't thrash or death or speed either. Its just metal. The sytnh box intertwines with Traynors Hetfield-ish growls to make an awesome combination. I cannot put itno words how amazing this cd is. Along with Taproot, Mushroomhead, and PM5K, this is one of the best bands out there.
A Really Weak Sophmore Album by an Amasing Band 28 Jun 2006
By Rochelle Dichter Weinstock - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
despite the Cliche band name, Dust To Dust's debut album was absolutly incredible. The band has deep stacatto guitars that enrich the music with a Post Grunge alternative feel while each song has its own elbarotate Synth background to create an eerie almost gothic feeling. The songs have such power and emotion behind them while the chrous's stick to an almost Classic rock Melodic scale. Rob's voice is excilent for the band and the music is beautifully done.

The Seccond album looses the synth and all the emotion that the first album used so well. The songs keep their classic sounding Chorus's but no longer have any clashing eerie elaborate melodies behind them. It's just a plain hard rock album with almost a Pop feel to some of the melodies. Sick and Pusher are easily the best songs on the album. If your a major fan of Dust to Dust, get the album and help them out. But.. It's nothing Special.

If you love Dust to Dust, You'll love similar Band "Speak No Evil" Check em out!!
