I received a free copy of this book for my review. This is one of those books that grabs you by the hand and pulls you along for the ride. It was and is a scary insight into what some conspiracy theorists say is already a reality. The main character Ash awakens to find his wife dead and his children dieing. Biohazard turns up and thats when things begin to get really bad. This book would make a great movie. It is full of intrigue and scenarios that are not so far from the reality we live in today. The next time we have a swine flu outbreak or HN1 virus alert, I shall be watching closely (a conspiracy theorist in the making). I really enjoyed how fast paced and interesting the book was and highly recommend it.

Great start, great ending and a very good middle.
Very enjoyable story about a sinister organisation that have unleashed a deadly virus on the world.
The story follows a number of individuals that come into contact with the virus.
Very enjoyable..

I found I was really looking forward to the next chapter as I was reading this book. The story has been done before and even a bit better, it just that the author found new ways of covering the same ground that held my attention right through the book. I'm not sure how many books will be in the series, I am hoping it will be a trilogy as any more might not hold up, but in any case I am looking forward to the next one!

The bad guys are at it again, but who are they? When Captain Daniel Ash wakes up hearing his little girl sick in the night, all hell is unleashed on him and his family. What's worse is that when he calls for help, he and all of his neighbors are whisked away for "help" with the intent to watch them die.

Only his strain of super immune blood can save him and with a little help, he charges off to save humanity but first he has to figure out who are the bad guys. The tension mounts and with only the creativity that Brett Battles can bring to a story you are enthralled from page one until the end.

A fabulous group of characters get together to battle the forces that would like to bring us to our knees. Go Daniel Ash and Go Brett Battles. Once again this very talented author has brought us a book that I could not put down from start to finish. I loved it!

I really enjoyed this book, knowing the circumstances of the plot could happen. After waking up to find his wife dead, Ash stumbles into a mind-bogging plot by authorities. Cover-ups and deception surround him while learning of his children's demise after exposure to the same virus that wipes out his small town of army families. Confusion leads to Ash's determination to make those responsible for unleashing the virus pay for their actions. The subtle angling of each character's thoughts give the reader all they need in discovering how the flue-like symptoms effect different groups in the area, while they are cordoned off and the contaminated section expands. The way the virus spreads would send horror into any upright citizen's mind. Be prepared for fast-paced action.

This book I recieved free for my review,
wow what an excellent intense story from the master of suspence, I was hooked from page one right to the very last page.
A family, a deadly virus, people are dying but who is to blame, Captain Ash looses his wife to the virus and his daughter is seriously sick, his son is not affected by the virus and nor is the captain, they are all taken to a facility and later Ash is told that his son and daughter are dead,he himself is still healthy, but he is locked in a sort of cell and told nothing more....
This is just the start of the story, there are plenty of twists and turns in this book with no letup of the suspence.
Dont miss this book it is brilliantly written and exciting right to the end.

Having never heard of Brett Battles I was dubious about this book to say the least.
I was astounded and I dont think I have read anything quite as amazing since Stephen King's earlier stuff (The Shining, The Stand etc.)

I can't really think of anything that I could say about it that wouldnt give the whole thing away so trust me! Read it! It's amazing! What have you got to lose??

Highly recommended.

I loved this book, but be warned, if you continue to the next in the series, it just stops at the most important point. Its more like a book with the last chapters missing, than a 2nd book in a trilogy.
I wish I'd waited before going on to the Vol 2, until Vol 3 is published.
Come on Mr Battles, get your pen out.
