This is Kate's 50th book and oh what a book! It's a very powerful and passionate love story with another of Kate's "hot" Italian men and this time it's Vito! THE SICILIAN'S RED-HOT REVENGE exemplifies a Harlequin Presents book at its very best! Vito is drop dead gorgeous, spirited, stubborn at times, and very passionate. And when he's angry, well watch out!

As you learned in Sicilian Husband, Blackmailed Bride, Guido has a brother Vito and they are in business together. For years they worked non-stop and promised each other on their 30th birthday they would take a year off and this is Vito's year. Vito and Emily's reuniting was very painful for me to read. It so depicts how miscommunication or lack of it can destroy a relationship. Honesty finally prevails, a lesson we can all learn and their passion, longing and yearning will take your breath away.

Congratulations to Kate Walker on this 50th book. However, I would personally like to say, thank you to Kate for the wonderful hours of reading you have personally provided this reader and please keep those books coming! Perhaps we can find another Corsentino sibling out there so we can see how Vito and Guido are doing?

50 books later...Walker only gets better! 8 Aug 2007
By Holly Fuhrmann - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
In Kate Walker's 50th book for Harlequin, Emily Lawton just wants a day away from her overwhelming responsibilities. She doesn't expect to meet someone...especially not someone like Vito Corsentino. They don't just have a spark...but a blazing fire between them. But things that aren't said leads to misunderstandings, leads to them parting ways. Five months later Vito's back, looking for revenge, but something totally different. Could it be love?

Walker is a must-buy author!

I really don't understand these 5 star reviews. I got 98% through the book and then was just so irritated with it that I deleted it from my kindle. If you like stories where two people argue the entire time, jump to conclusion after conclusion about each other, never defend or explain themselves when being accused of horrible things but somehow manage to fall in "love" right at the end of the book then this one is definitely for you.

The heroine made me want to just smack her repeatedly and say, "Just spit it out already!" Five pages of "No, wait....", "Please....", "You don't understand...." was enough to drive me bonkers. On top of the heroine who never manages to complete a conversation to explain herself there is the guy who not only jumps to conclusions about her but completely over reacts and hurls pretty degrading insults.

I can't speak for other women but a conclusion jumping jerk with mammoth sized over reactions doesn't make me swoon and fall in love. But then again the heroine was so incompetent at articulating a single thought maybe this was the perfect guy for her. Either way, it's not my cup of tea....wish I had passed this one by. The one good point was that it was at least written well and easy to follow without the grammatical and spelling errors that make reading an arduous task.

The Sicilian's Red-Hot Revenge
Kate Walker
Harlequin Presents
July 2007

Have you ever felt the need to escape it all? I know I have. Kate Walker explores this need with her characters in The Sicilian's Red-Hot Revenge. Emotional and physical escape mesh together, forming a blistering hot situation which is aching to achieve the ultimate goal, true love. But once reality rears its fierce head, heartbreak and disappointment can be the only result to the ill-timed escape of Ms. Walker's heroine. The ups and downs of life unfold violently throughout her story.

Life seems to have thrown one curve ball after another at Emily Lawton. Nothing has turned out like she envisioned. Just when she was going to regain control of her life, tragedy strikes and she had to relinquish her happiness again. Needing to escape on the one day she believed would change her life but did not, Emily ran to the beach. Surely there she could find some inner peace and strength to carry on. During a moment of crazy abandon fate steps in and changes everything once again. Emily's blissful day turns her into a damsel in distress, screaming for help. Along comes her knight in shining armor, Vito Corsentino.

Vito was enchanted the moment he spotted the beautiful woman on the beach. His artist eye appreciates her form but there is something else about her that calls to him on a more personal level. When she needs his help, he races to her side. Once Emily is safe, the attraction he, they, feel takes complete control. Both discover a sizzling happiness together. When reality intrudes, the "truth" comes out and shatters their relationship before it barely began. Vito feels betrayed and harshly sends her away. He never wants to see Emily again. However, he cannot get her out of his mind and his body definitely remembers hers. He will find her again, only this time he will be the one in control. She will be the one left wanting him.

The Sicilian's Red-Hot Revenge is Kate Walker's fiftieth release and her skill as a story teller continues to impress her fans. You are bound to find something that calls to you within its pages. Emily and Vito are perfect for each other but Ms.Walker gives them many hurdles and mistakes to overcome. As they struggle to find happiness, her tale will keep you enthralled. You may recognize Vito's name from his brother, Guido's book, Sicilian Husband, Blackmailed Bride, another excellent read. Do not miss out on adding Ms. Walker's books to your collection.
