Two classic recordings

These 2 classic recordings from the 60`s still are worth their weight in gold. I`ve heard more spontaneous and harsher versions of these symphonies. However, Karajan elects to go with more orchestral polish and refinement instead.
A beautiful listening experience.
By the way, buyer beware!
I recommend NOT to buy this cd from Amazon.
I tried to buy this cd from Amazon TWICE from two different sellers, yet both times I received the wrong cd: I received both times "Sibelius Symphonies 5 & 7." This CANNOT be a coincidence. I had to buy it elsewhere. I did, however, apologetically and promptly get a refund both times. Yet I was told by both sellers that they had never stocked the requested cd. (????) Then why was it advertised......?
Anyway, if you want these 2 symphonies by Karajan and actually want to RECEIVE them, try the DG Originals release from 1999, which has No.4 & 6, but No. 5 and 7 as well. Goodluck.
