Devin Hamilton directs this comedy about a 35-year-old singleton who braves the world of gay-dating as he searches for 'Mr Right'. Egged on by his straight friends, lonely heart Ben (Ronnie Kerr) embarks on a crash course of dating that soon has him despairing that he'll ever find his ideal match. But as luck would have it, he soon realises he has the hots for Grey (Scott Gabelein), a jogger who passes by each morning while Ben is watering his front lawn. After finally plucking up the courage to speak to Grey, Ben discovers there's an instant chemistry between them. There's only one problem, however, Ben wants a monogamous relationship, and Grey has some serious committment issues.

Shut Up And Kiss Me got my interest for the cover photo of the two guys, and I have to say they don't disappoint. So if you like the look of them, you will be delighted with this! The script is quite funny, with two other (straight) friends, including his work colleague at the gym, being quite 'built' eye candy as well ... Ben, the shirtless one, goes through all kinds of hijinks to get a successful date, helped by two quite spirited female friends, before he meets Grey who keeps running past his house (the unsuccessful dates are shown standing on the back of the box and look a bit doubtful, but fortunately are brief parodies ...). Ben is very sweet but quite masculine; Grey complements him very well, but has difficulty with monogamy. A lot of the time is spent talking, often quite amusingly, and it is really quite sexy, with the guys undressing each other - a hot scene - and rolling around naked - very hot - and earlier in the film kissing during a carpet picnic - hot also! It is a joy to watch their faces and go with the emotion, even if the production values are obviously modest. Yet this oddly suits the unpretentious, comic material, and it avoids tackiness. I would certainly recommend it if the cover appeals.

This DVD has a host of likeable characters and I loved 'Pup'. It was both heart warming and heart breaking. Watching the film with friends led to a whole series of agreements and disagreements about whether this ending would have been possible. I don't think so.......but some of my friends do. Whatever your view, it made was a very watchable film and in places made me both very happy and very sad. Well worth a view.

I have to say some of the review did not do this movie any justice. I am glad I am very open minded and that is the reason why I bought this on dvd. I love the movie from start to finish. A trully wonderful and beautiful romantic gay movie to watch. I love the title "Shut up and kiss me". Well done to the actors, writers, director and all. I very much love this movie.

You could use one word to describe just about every aspect of this film: "LOW". I couldn't get Ronnie Kerr's constant grinning off my mind while watching this flick. So when he cried in the movie, I still think he's still grinning. If the entire screenplay had been shortened to a 20-25 minute, quasi "Sex in the City" episode, it might have been more effective.

I have seen this one soon after I saw "Singing forest" and I must admit that it is worth the second star. I didn't find it difficult to watch it from the beginning to the very last minute.
The movie is very very amateurish, but as I mentioned above, has its moments.
The whole idea could be even more entertaining if only the filmmakers had some more cash to shoot it properly.
The acting is not good, but at least people, who star in it, don't try too much to prove that they are real actors:) They read their lines and that's it.
There is a lot of talk in this movie about gays, dated by the main character, who appeared to be jerks, have dull personalities etc.
Unfortunately, it is our hero who is the biggest jerk, giving up his dreams and beliefs to be with notorious cheater. So, the ending is quite disappointing.
