Bought these to replace a pair of Shure E2C earphones, the cable on my previous pair had simply worn out after 5 years of almost daily use. When i decided to replace the old pair, I immediately checked for the Shure name again and although E2C's were no longer available i picked these as an acceptable replacement.
Unfortunately I've been disappointed ever since i opened the box. Ear buds are of poor quality and not interchangeable with old E2C ear buds. Sound is also poor -there is an ever present hissing sound from the phones that is certainly not present on my old phones. The rather silly ear canal design and stupid little velvet bag the included rounds off the disappointment.
I also have a pair of sennheiser cx300 that i use for gym and running and these are much superior sound wise to the SE102K.
Another case of a companies products going backwards quality wise.
