Product Description

Key Features: Originally developed for professional musicians the E2c combines Dynamic MicroDriver speaker technology with a sound isolating design to deliver rich full-range sound while blocking outside noise -- ideal for enhancing your listening experience with portable MP3 DVD and CD players as well as all other audio sources. And unlike bulky headphones utilizing active noise cancellation technology no artifacts are introduced into your listening experience. Sound isolating earphones are also much smaller and don\'t require batteries. Speaker Type: Dynamic MicroDrivers The E2c\'s speakers are constructed with studio-grade components producing outstanding audio clarity that allows you to hear your music like never before. Personal Fit Kit Because every ear is different E2c Earphones come with three pairs (small medium large) of disposable Foam Sleeves and three pairs (small medium large) of Flex Sleeves to ensure the ideal personalized fit. Secure In Ear Design The soft flexible sleeves in the Fit Kit gently contour the inside of the ear for a comfortable secure fit so that the earphones don\'t fall out while you\'re exercising. Low-Profile Earphone Cables The E2c\'s cables pass behind the ear - out of sight and out of the way -- to provide a more comfortable discreet fit. Lightweight Construction Weighing only 1 oz (30g) the E2c is lightweight and comfortable enough for any portable listening application -- packing a big punch in such a compact package. The first thing to realise is that these won't suit everyone. These are designed to go deeper into your ear than most other in-ear types of earphones and some people will find that uncomfortable. You also need to hook the cable back up and over your ears which is a bit of a pain if, like me, you wear glasses.

But these niggles aside, these are some of the best in-ears I've ever owned. Bass response is solid. Sure you don't get the muddy, "thumpthumpthump" that you do with other earphones, but if that's what you want, you're as well looking to buy something a lot cheaper than the Shures.

These are earphones for people who want a crisp, clean sound with well defined treble and bass that's deep and pure without being overwhelming. I'd definitely recommend them to any audiophile on a budget.

I bought these a year or so back and have just replaced them - they get rather sweaty in the gym which hasn't helped. Expensive but good quality - have to say I've bought some cheaper Sony and can't detect the difference.

Amazing clear response with acoustic and classical music. Disappointing if your music has any bass

Shure e2c 12 Sept. 2009

I really couldn't imagine spending more than $30 on a pair of headphones because while i knew that super premium headphones could make a difference in sound quality, I didn't think it would make a huge difference. Man was i wrong. These Shure e2c's are discontinued but i gave them a try since everyone praised their sound quality. It took me a whole day to click place order because i didn't want to pay the money for it hahaha. I think I had paid a little under the price posted here, but it is possible to say i got slightly ripped off only because they are a old model. I don't really care. These earphones are way too good. I wish i could take them to work but i need to hear my coworkers calling for me if they need me. If you are a person that has been dreading the thought of paying more than $20-30 for earphones, but really want a quality sound, get these earphones. You really don't have to get these to be honest. They are great, but you may find better ones at the same price listed here. I think the moral of the story is: you get what you pay for. I paid a higher price for a higher quality set of earphones. So yea these earphones did the trick for me.

Just buy 'em, don't think about it, buy 'em. These are the best for the price, imagine sitting on an airplane with the screaming baby in front of you. Pop these babies in your ears and voila....pure bliss! Even if you don't turn on your music, they're GREAT as EARPLUGS!
