5.0 out of 5 stars Solid gold blues 25 Jun 2009
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
For anyone with a passing interest in blues and early R'n'B this is the real deal. Blues legends combine with lesser known and indeed unknown talents to produce an eclectic, inspired selection that will keep you coming back for more. Soulful, uplifting, rocking and raw in equal measure, this is the prescription you need to today's contrived, plastic world of popular music.

5.0 out of 5 stars The rarest of Ace recordings 15 Mar 2007
By Doctor B - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Just last week (3-7-07)I played these recordings for Mac Rebenack. He was the producer and pianist for Ace Records. To recall these names and to finally hear the recordings he helped make sent him into ecstacy. If you collect New Orleans music or like to hear Southern R&B from this era don't miss these sides.
