By some strange chance, I happened to be sitting with the author, Ted Meyer, on a plane trip to Southern California from the Bay Area. He had observed that I was reading a psych book and offered me a copy of his new book to peruse (it had been only two weeks since "Shrink Yourself" was published).
After taking in the few short introductory pages on how to use it, I was launched directly into the therapy "session". WOW! I felt as if I was with Dr. Freud himself and that he was responding to my every thought. Purposefully and resolutely, I was guided through the good doctor's 50-minute time allotment. Each new page brought forth in my mind greater revelations. I was especially struck by what surfaced on page 53.
After finishing it, I just couldn't give it back to Ted. I had to have it! So I bought it from him on the spot and asked him to autograph it for me. He graciously accepted and wrote "Fred -- Glad you've gotten over the fear of flying."
Thank you, Ted. Your book may well deliver just what our world needs so desperately in these trying times.
