This wasy first ever crash helmet and I am not disappointed.
It arrived when it should have and is per the item description.
Fits very well with removable cheek pads. The only down side is that it has no grooves cut in so I can fit my glasses on easily but with a little "wiggling" they do fit and are no too tight. Would recommend this helmet to another bike newbie

The Shox Bullet is a decent helmet and a very good option for the price. Though it's not perfect, as you may expect it lacks many of the refinements of more expensive lids.

Pluses
• Acceptable build quality
• Low Cost
• Convenient flip up design
• Light weight
• Sleek design
• Choice of inexpensive multi-coloured visors available

Minuses
• It is extremely noisy at high speed 70mph+. You may need to wear ear plugs
• Swapping visors can be fiddly and time consuming because there is no quick release feature.!
• Visor is not anti-fog
• Flip does not tilt up far enough, so can block sight line
• Cheek pads do not extend far enough forwards. Thus helmet feels less secure

However, on balance this helmet is an acceptable option particularly if you're on an tight budget. But don’t expect too much.

I bought this helmet as a spare and found myself using it more than the other £200 helmet I own.
It's very comfortable and has good ventilation. It's cheap, at £38 it's a steal.
The noise level is very low and it's a joy to wear it over long distance as there is no need of ear plugs.
Compared to 2 other expensive helmets, this one wins hands down.
As for the real purpose - to save my head in case of a crash - I am confident that this helmet will do the job as it's DOT and ECE approved. The cherry on the cake is that Snox helmets are made in Spain by a well known manufacturer, so not Chinese stuff here.
And even if it was made in China I would buy it again because it's a good helmet.

I very seldom write reviews but I feel that it is important to warn the buyer that the low price of this helmet is not worth the risk to you life.

After having this helmet for 3 months, I can honestly say that it's not even worth the £40. I've seen cheaper helmets that are more solid than this.

Firstly let me say that I have never dropped the helmet. It simply goes from head to topbox and back. Sometimes I carry it around if I'm shopping and my topbox is full. But just normal everyday activities for someone who rides daily. The helmet can not withstand this normal daily treatment and has bit by bit fallen apart until finally I've had to just bin it. If this helmet falls apart after three months, there's no way that it would withstand any type of crash situation.

After about a month one of the wind shields on the top of the helmet fell off

A couple weeks late the other one fell off

The last straw for me was when the screw that holds the flip/visor onto the main part of the helmet flies loose mid riding, leaving me with a flip flapping around in the wind as I rode home, god forbid I got into an accident!

From a distance it looks like a nicely built solid helmet, but upon closer inspection you can see that inferior plastics have been used to mold the helmet.

Movable parts are flimsy at best and feel like they will not last very long. (and they don't)

The visor has trouble staying up

The flip front as many have mentioned does not flip far enough up to be able to see properly.

I can not even recommend this helmet as a spare for a pillion passenger. I would not put someone else life at risk.

Summary: Don't be fooled by the good reviews of this helmet, I would be interested in hearing from those same reviewers now after owning this helmet some time . Cheap build, flimsy parts that breakdown and fall apart over a very short time.

Ideal for the job - I needed a helmet to take to Nepal for a motorcycle tour and didn't want to take my regular helmet - so taking this one. When I'm finished I'll donate it, It's comfortable, practical for warm climate and a great price.

Great looking flip front helmet, slightly noisier than a full face but not too much, size wise seems spot on. The visor has a good solid feel whatever position it's clicked into, the flip action is positive & again has a solid feel to it; it's also very comfortable to wear & is rated to the latest high standard. The only negative I could say is that it doesn't have an integral flip down sun visor, but for the money it's terrific value.
